  •     National Tiger Coalition in Clemson, South Carolina will be April 19-21

  •     Volunteer trip to Turpentine Creek Sanctuary April 26-28
  •     Doggie Play Day May 14-15 with Columbia Second Chance

Events without confirmed dates

  •     Tour of Big Cat Country exhibit at St. Louis Zoo
  •     Tiger Talk hopefully with Steve Bircher (St.Louis Zoo Big Cat Country), Dr. Fox (MU vet school), and a representative from the National Tiger Sanctuary.
  •     Possibly Skype with a representative of World Wildlife Fund or other major conservation agencies.

 

Current Activities

The student chapter of Mizzou Tigers for Tigers is dedicated to helping the program achieve its goals. We specifically work to educate the campus and local community about tiger conservation and raise money to fund tiger projects, such as research and education programs.

To accomplish our goals, we plan a wide variety of activities. These events include setting up educational booths on campus and at athletic events, presenting tiger information to schools, and inviting numerous knowledgeable speakers. We also fundraise extensively to raise money to donate to tiger organizations. Our fundraisers have included walk-a-thons, bake sales, merchandise sales, and Doggie Play Day.
